Abstract

This supporting video is to accompany the case. This video is an interview with Ian Telford. It provides: (1) a feel for the man and his willingness to take risks; (2) a description of Telford's rich prior experience within Dow (this clearly helped the venture); (3) a sense for the senior management support that is necessary to make entrepreneurship work; and (4) a glimpse into the motivations of a corporate entrepreneur. The purpose of this and the companion videos is not to provide a 'solution to the case', but rather to set the stage on which the instructor can build a dialogue in class on internal entrepreneurship.
